Engine

Designed by Franco Lambertini, V2 Morini is common to all Moto Morini 2013 range. It is however on the Corsaro it is the most powerful, with 140 horses free version for a couple of 12.4 mkg. Great numbers, even if the twin sports are better today.
Named Bialbero Corsa Corta, so this engine dual overhead cam and short stroke (66 mm stroke) has large pistons (107 mm bore) to graft generous valves. Open to 87 °, has twin seems there common features with the engine Superquadro the Ducati 1199 Panigale. Moreover, also called the Moto Morini engine Superquadro like what ...
Franco Lambertini opted for a mixed distribution (gears and chain) for its strength and guaranteed to endure high speeds. In addition, he had planned to leave room for development and a 170-horsepower version should be released in the coming months.
Today is the Gilardoni company that is responsible for making the covers, besides beautifully crafted. Injection with butterflies 54 mm in diameter, is signed Magneti Marelli. Moto Morini has retained the electric starter that requires a pulse and then looping until the engine starts.
Despite generous radiator (assisted by an oil heater only on the block Corsaro), the Moto Morini heater yet consistently especially in town, it climbs quickly at 94 ° and 2 ° triggers the fan later. An evolution of the exhaust, reducing hot spots, is expected to reduce emissions of heat.
If 1200 is already complies with the Euro 3 standard, Moto Morini preparing for the future and has received the agreement of the approval authority to start manufacturing engines with the second lambda probe. Engines that have different settings and should consume 40% less. We will check it during a test drive.

Chassis

The frame is a steel truss with a rear fixed loop. The swing arm is aluminum. We find a Marzzochi inverted fork with 50 mm diameter triple adjustment (compression and rebound more preload). The Sachs shock absorber - a classic in Italian roadsters - also has a triple adjustment. The set is quite firm on small shocks.
Marchesini rims are proven over many years, as the Brembo, bolt-for stirrups, but with a radial master cylinder. Jars of brake fluid and clutch are very neat, like adjustable levers. A Bosch ABS is included in the program, but it required a double depending on the development / range 2013 2014 since the calipers are radially mounted to the future, as the Rebello. The Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 Veloce is announced at 198 kg, ready to roll, but without fuel.

Equipment - Manufacturing

The 2013 Moto Morini have finished quite honest. Paints with a sublimation process for some colors are quite successful and seem resistant. The General Assembly does not suffer from particular criticism, but recognize that some European bikes more hide their connections, or ignore necklaces sometimes unsightly. However, the overall quality is more than a flaw.
Multiplexed - which is an advantage when the graft new devices as a disconnectable ABS or key code - the Corsaro 1200 Veloce has a rich array of onboard many information (gear indicator, engine temperature, clock, battery capacity, various trips) but is silent on the fuel gauge. Regrettable.
's stalks, levers and mirrors are of good quality. Since 2013, they are changed while receiving flashing white cabochons. The aluminum handlebar, very well finished, comes from Accossato.
