Engine

For 2014 Gas Gas modernizing its 2-stroke engine, starting with a lighter water pump but a larger volume to optimize cooling. This new pump is coupled with a redesigned cylinder head to get a better thermodynamics of fluids. The Gas Gas EC 125 Racing provides a new power curve. The 2-stroke crankshaft has been redesigned on the one hand to improve the overall performance and also to reduce engine vibration. Other change in the EC in 2014, the new ignition system reduces the weight and size of the crankcase. The harness was also renovated.

Chassis

This is the frame of its enduro bikes that Gas Gas is the most attention in 2014, and this applies to both two-time 4-stroke, the entire range with the same design . Thus, the frame geometry is reviewed to optimize the handling of the bike but also to decrease the sensation of extreme rigidity of previous models. We note in passing that Gas Gas returns to a frame completely aluminum rear: the rear rigid plastic part only survived two vintages ... Another important point, the frame lost 2 kg.
Big change also at the shock now signed Reiger. The Dutch manufacturer has developed a model for specific Gas Gas, has an internal thermostatic system to compensate for changes in viscosity of the oil based on the temperature of the cylinder in order to maintain consistent operation. The Marzocchi dual cartridge remains topical but it receives new settings.

The cockpit of the new 2-stroke enduro 125 is also changing, with a new handlebar Double Strength specially developed for Gas Gas EC, with new machined saddles and a new digital meter. The rear brake pedal has been redesigned to increase the braking power but it has also been repositioned outside the framework to avoid the problems associated with the accumulation of mud. The adjustable footrests allow the pilot to adjust the ergonomics depending on its size. The engine spoiler material injected high strength is redesigned to better protect the engine. The side number plates are modified to increase the flow of the air box. Machined hubs are associated with Excel rims and spokes black.
